Red Special | Brian May Signature
Brian May’s famous self-made signature instrument doesn’t need much introduction since it’s become a thing of lore after Queen’s long reign. It was built by May and his father from a slab of wood from an old fireplace mantle and featured hardware fashioned from cutlery.
This model is based on one of the many later manufactured replicas. The pickup configuration here is H-H, while Brian’s original was a S-S-S setup. Other than that, the dimensions look pretty accurate – not much room for complaint.
